Martha Kohlmeyer Obituary
March 22, 1947 - July 13, 2025
Martha Karen Kohlmeyer (née Carver), born on March 22, 1947, in Peoria, Ill., passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday July 13, 2025, in Parker, Colo. She was 78 years old.
Martha's life was rooted in the Midwest, where she was born and raised. She spent most of her years in Iowa, where she graduated from NU Highschool in Cedar Falls. Soon after, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Kohlmeyer Jr. Martha had a rewarding career as a Radiologist Technician at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Upon retirement, she moved and settled in Colorado, where her children and grandchildren reside. Over the decades, she built a life marked by dedication to her family and a quiet strength that touched those around her.
Martha is lovingly remembered by her son, Kenneth Kohlmeyer III; her daughter, Karen Kohlmeyer Ross (Warren Ross); her cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Izabella, and Matilynn. She also leaves behind her two brothers, Roger Carver (Jan Carver) and Dennis "Sam" Carver; niece, Allysa and nephew, Bryce.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Marilyn Carver; his second wife Betty Carver; her husband Kenneth Kohlmeyer Jr. and his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Catherine Kohlmeyer; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5th, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Island Park Beach House, 500 Center Street, Cedar Falls. May Martha's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
