Charlene Taylor Obituary

Charlene Grissett Taylor, age 73, a resident of the New Hope community, died Saturday, July 5, 2025 at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lannie Shepherd officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1pm – 2pm at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Grissett; three sisters: Sarah McIntosh, Effie Russell, and Diane Stokes. She is survived by her husband Jessie Taylor; children: Cindy Johnson (Richard), Jessie "James" Taylor Jr.; grandson, Matthew Reeves; two step-granddaughters, Katherine Ingalls (Matthew) and Kelly Dady (Will); two step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Charlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She cherished any time she could spend with her family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
