Sue Jernigan Obituary

JERNIGAN, Sue Sherrell, 84, resident of Prattville, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 10:00 am from Grandview Pines Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Chance Sangster officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday one-hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Trinity Baptist Cemetery, Oxford, AL. Mrs. Jernigan was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ray Jernigan, Sr.; son, Jerry Ray Jernigan, Jr.; parents, Lewis and Estelle Robertson; brother, Jerre Robertson. She is survived by her two sons, Garth Jernigan (Arlene) and Glenn Jernigan; cousin, Esther Harbin; special friend, MaryLou Todd; caregivers, Sheila Barlow, DeeDee Hollon and Rena Lallow; four grandchildren, Joshua M. Parrish, Caree M. Carter-Williams, Erica R. Jernigan, Ian A. Jernigan; numerous great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all their help in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Building Fund at Grandview Pines Baptist Church, 346 Deatsville Hwy, Millbrook, AL, 36054.
