Thomas Carroll Carr

Thomas Carroll Carr, born April 12, 1939 in Montgomery, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 24, 2025. Funeral services will be held at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 12:00 p.m., and visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens.
Tommy was a loving, teaching, and playful father to his children, a hero to his grandchildren, and a loyal, entertaining friend to many. Tommy enjoyed Alabama football, playing golf, fishing, and traveling. He was fierce, competitive domino player and took pity on no one.
In his long and full life, his one constant from a very young age, was his love for and desire to please Almighty God; following as he grew, teaching his family to know and trust Jesus. This is his legacy to the ones he leaves behind and his greatest achievement. He will be missed but has left multiple generations knowing his love and his many stories of a blessed life.
Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Nummy Carr and wife of 16 years, Shelby Reese Carr; parents, Thomas F. Carr and Opal Chapman Carr, and brother, Warren A. Carr.
He is survived by his son, Tom (Terri) Carr; daughters, Melissa (Woody) Woodruff, Pamela Headley, and Beverly (Robert) Lipham; five grandsons, Trey (Diane) Woodruff, Bryan (Nicole) Carr, Charlie (Allie) Lipham, Jeremy (Krista) Carr, and John Headley; five granddaughters, Jennifer Chandler, Cynthia Barrett, Courtney (Jonathan) Brown, Jessie (Matthew) Gould, and Kelsey (Brian) Manley; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Housch and Teresa (Bob) Stacy; and a host of dearly loved extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Trey Woodruff, Bryan Carr, Charlie Lipham, Jeremy Carr, John Headley, Jonathan Brown, Matthew Gould, and Brian Manley.
