Barbara Kuehn Obituary

Jefferson, WI - Barbara A. "Bunny" Kuehn, 86, of Jefferson, WI, surrounded by her family at Sunset Ridge in Jefferson, was lovingly greeted by a host of angels at the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Bunny was born on July 27, 1939, in Watertown, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Alma (Keeser) Vogel. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1957, and married James Kuehn on May 23, 1959, at Immanuel Evangelist Lutheran Church in Farmington. Jim and Bunny enjoyed 66 years of marriage and have two sons, Todd and Tim. Devotion to her family was Bunny's primary focus throughout her entire life. She was a dedicated wife and mother who always encouraged Jim and their boys to pursue their dreams through her fervent support and constant love. Bunny was instrumental in Jim's business ventures, including Towne Inn, as her administrative and bookkeeping duties were vital to their success. Whether it was through their children's elementary through high school years, sports activities, college, careers and their adult years, Todd and Tim knew she was always their constant and resounding advocate. Welcoming their three grandchildren brought so much joy to Bunny as her beloved family grew. Family gatherings were of the utmost importance to her as she looked forward to the joy of having her family together again. Grandma Bunny was always very doting as shown in her support and involvement in everything her grandchildren were involved with. And they were the next generation to enjoy Grandma's cream de mint cake, banana bread, and her famous chocolate toffee.

Our hearts are absolutely broken; however, Bunny's family and many friends know that she will live on in so many wonderful memories that can never be forgotten. We are fortunate to have had such a loving and adoring special soul in our lives.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to Lisa Lotz (home care) as well as Anna Warzala and the other care workers at Sunset Ridge and AGrace Hospice for their dedication and loving support throughout the final years of Bunny's life. Your commitment and genuine concern were always appreciated by Bunny's family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Jim Kuehn of Jefferson; sons, Todd Kuehn of Scottsdale, AZ and Timothy (Julie) Kuehn of Ledgeview (Green Bay); grandchildren, Taylor, Maxwell, and Jillian North; and siblings, Sharon Kloss and Tom (Karen) Vogel.

Bunny is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Elaine (Armond) Zastrow, Mary (Ivan) Strese, Herbert (Virginia) Vogel, and brother-in-law, Leslie Kloss.

Memorials in Bunny's name to the St. John's Evangelist Lutheran School Gym Project, would be greatly appreciated.

A Christian funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at St. John's Evangelist Lutheran Church with Pastor Joshua Martin presiding. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery following the funeral.
