Barbara Rosenow Obituary

Johnson Creek, WI - Barbara J. Rosenow, 79, of Johnson Creek, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Watertown with Fr. Tom Coyle and Fr. Tim Renz officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. A luncheon will be announced at the conclusion of the Mass. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to St. Bernard Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul in Watertown, or to Rainbow Community Care. Barbara Jean Haberman was born on March 21, 1945 to Gerald and Elvira (nee Dorshorst) Haberman in Watertown. She was a graduate of Lake Mills High School. On March 11, 1988 she married Joel Rosenow in Las Vegas, NV. She worked as a receptionist for APV Crepaco in Lake Mills for many years.

She loved being a Grandma and had enjoyed fishing with her husband. She liked to travel and in her earlier years she enjoyed bowling. Barbara loved spending time in the sun.

She was an active member of the community and was always generous in the donation of her time and talents. She spent many hours volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul in Watertown. Barbara was an active and committed member of the Watertown Elks Lodge.

She is survived by her two daughters: JoAnn (Terry) Schowalter of Appleton, and Susan (Dan) Schmitt of Johnson Creek; step-daughter, Jamie (Joe) Ellis of Watertown; grandchildren: Brooke (Tom), Bryce (Katie), Tera (Mike), Courtney (Joel), Carley (Riley); step-grandchildren: Brandon, David Jr., Karissa, Kaylin, Riley, Colton, Austin, Ally, and Olivia; great-grandchildren: Jace, Levi, Emery, Jovi, Emersyn, Zoe, Ella, Lucy, Ivey, Reed, as well as step-great-grandchildren; siblings: Stuart Haberman of Johnson Creek, Greg (Jill) Haberman of Winter, Marilyn (Jerry) Kuhl of Lake Mills, Wendy (Matt) Beckman of Lake Mills, Guy (Don Fisher) Haberman of Rancho Mirage, CA, Warren (Jaye) Haberman of Lake Mills; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gerald Haferman; second husband, Joel Rosenow; siblings: Betty Haberman in infancy, Wayne Haberman, Phillip (Ida) Haberman, Danny Haberman, William Haberman, Jerry Haberman.
