Barbara "Barb" Ann Staude was born to Alvin and Mabel (Oestreich) Staude on January 29, 1952 in Watertown, WI. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1970 and went on to receive her associate's degree. On September 29, 1973, she married Roy "Butch" Zickert at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington, WI. She worked on her family's farm in her youth and had worked at Schweiger's Furniture, Evald Moulding, and retired after 20+ years at Bethesda.

Barb was very passionate about sports. She enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. She could always be found at every sporting or school event her son was involved in. Her favorite team was the Milwaukee Brewers. For years she would take her son Matt, and her nephews Tim and Mike, and niece Christy, to a Brewers game once a month. The last several years, she wouldn't miss listening to, or watching the games with her husband Butch. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. Barb loved growing tomato plants, with many of them reaching over 15 feet tall. She loved to bake and cook and would find joy in sharing with anyone she could. Most of all, Barb loved to spend time with her husband, son, and family. She enjoyed holiday gatherings to which she always brought her sense of humor, and especially loved watching Christmas movies.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Roy Zickert; son, Matt (Becky and her son, Colton) Zickert; siblings, Sheri (Roger) Schmitt, David Staude, Tammy (Todd) Zoellick; sister-in-law and life long best friend, Bev Strobel; very close friends, Mary Kemmeter and Lyann Reichert; nieces, nephews, great nieces, relatives, and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Mabel Staude; parents-in-law, Roy Sr. and Myrtle Zickert, brothers, Ronald Staude and Roger Staude; brother-in-law, Larry Strobel; and nephew Travis.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pastor Fricke and Pastor Bartsch for their many visits over the years. The family would also like to thank the staff at Rainbow Hospice for their extraordinary care.
