Pamela Otterstatter Obituary

Eagan, MN - Pamela Jean Otterstatter (Wittchow), of Eagan, Minnesota, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed peacefully from earthly life on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024. Through faith in Jesus Christ, Pam was welcomed by our heavenly Father into her eternal home.

Pam was born on January 7th, 1960, in Watertown, Wisconsin. She was the third of four children of Donald and Barbara Wittchow. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She attended Lakeside Lutheran High School (Lake Mills, WI) and Madison Area Technical College. She married her husband, Jon, on January 31st, 1981. Their special friendship, along with an inseparable love and commitment to each other, was on display for nearly half a century. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Matthew, Brittany and Chad.

Pam enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends. Her genuine warmth, joyfulness and kindness made everybody feel welcomed, and she had a limitless desire to give to those she loved. She had a positive influence on her family and her wide circle of friends. Her exemplary, confident faith in Jesus also had a profound impact on all those who knew her, especially during the past year as she battled cancer.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the clinical teams at Minnesota Oncology, Mayo Clinic, Northwestern Medical and all the others who provided advice and care during Pam's illness.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Jon; her son Matthew and Bethany Otterstatter and grandsons Isaiah, Lucas and Andrew; her daughter Brittany and David Pulito, grandson Jamie and granddaughter (due March 22nd); her son Chad Otterstatter; her brother Jeffrey and Lu Wittchow; her sister Kathy and James Lamp; her sister Patty and Ralph Lange; her brothers-in-law Timothy and Joyce Otterstatter and Reverend Michael and Teresa Otterstatter; her sisters-in-law Deanne and Reverend Douglas Lange and Jacquelyn and Daniel Moyle; her mother-in-law Elaine (Held) Otterstatter; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.

Funeral services will be held at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 115 Crusader Avenue, West St. Paul, MN, on Monday, April 8th, 2024, at 11:15 a.m. Visitations will be held at the church from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. before the service on Monday, both at Crown of Life in West St. Paul. The service will be livestreamed and available by contacting Crown of Life at 651-451-3832 or [email protected] for directions.

A memorial has been established in loving memory of Pam at Lakeside Lutheran High School, 231 Woodland Beach Rd., Lake Mills, WI, 53551.

Pam lived her life in full knowledge of, and complete confidence in, the words of the Apostle Paul:

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her, and may God rest her soul in the open arms of Jesus, our Savior.
