Philip Zastrow Obituary

Helenville, WI - Philip "Phil" M. Zastrow, 59, took his place in his heavenly home with his Savior on August 25, 2025.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI with Rev. Aaron Reseburg officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown, WI on Tuesday September 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. Memorials if desired would be appreciated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and will go towards two things that were dear to Phil's heart being the youth group and a new playground, or a charity of one's choice. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Watertown is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at www.HafemeisterFH.com.

Philip "Phil" Michael Zastrow was born to parents Franklin and Irene (Ellefson) Zastrow on June 8, 1966, in Oconomowoc, WI. He was baptized into Christ on June 23, 1966 and later confirmed in his faith on May 25, 1980. Phil graduated from UW-Whitewater with his bachelor's degree. In 1990, he began working for Reinders, Inc., where he dedicated over 30 years as a golf irrigation sales manager.

Phil was deeply devoted to his faith and actively involved at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, serving in many roles including church treasurer, basketball coach, and youth leader. He was especially passionate about his church family and the youth group. Phil enjoyed sports such as dartball and golf. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews.

Philip is survived by his brothers, Paul Zastrow, Andy Zastrow, and Tim Zastrow; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Irene Zastrow; brother, Tom Zastrow; nephew, Matthew Zastrow; niece, Andrea Zastrow; and sister-in-law, Catherine Zastrow.
