Watertown, WI - Roy E. Block, 97, passed away on December 2, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI on Monday December 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Aaron Reseburg officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Watertown is serving the family. Roy Erwin Block was born on June 30, 1928, in Watertown, WI, to parents Hugo and Mabel (Dube) Block. Roy graduated from Watertown high school and later attended college, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree. Throughout his working years, he held a variety of jobs. He owned and operated a bread route, worked for Freitag Moving Company, and held positions at Brandt Manufacturing Company and Hevi-Duty Electric Company. He later closed out his career at Menasha Corporation. After retirement, Roy worked part-time driving vehicles for Kayser Chrysler, and worked hanging drapes for Fischer's Department Store. On July 8, 1950, Roy was united in marriage to Betty Block at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Roy also served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the Wisconsin National Guard.

Roy had a lifelong passion for music. He enjoyed singing as well as playing the harmonica. He was a member of the Watertown Men's Chorus and was known for his rich singing voice. He also loved outdoor sports such as tennis and golf and liked watching football games, especially when it came to watching the Packers. Roy also enjoyed taking road trips.

Roy is survived by his children, Tim (Jeanne) Block and Jody (Dan) Seybold; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Block; sister, Marion; and brother, Arnie.
