John Lukse Obituary

John W. Lukse, age 89, was born on March 6, 1925 in Greenwich, CT and died at South East Louisiana Veteran's Home on January 21, 2015. He was originally from Ormond Beach, FL and was a current resident of Gonzales. Mr. Lukse was retired from Blake Motors of Daytona Beach, FL after being with the company for 52 years. He also served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He belonged to the American Legion, Post 81. Mr. Lukse enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo during his spare time. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Norma Lukse; son, Jack Lukse and wife Heather of Gonzales; granddaughters, Lisa Lavigne and husband Keith of St. Amant, Laura Sprague and husband Jerry of New York and great-grandchildren, Caleb Lavigne, Kelsey Lavigne, Jerry Clason and Tiffany Sprague. He is preceeded in death by a son, Clason Lukse and parents, John Joseph and Amy Lukse. There will be no public services for Mr. Lukse. Ourso Funeral home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.
