While we will miss our beloved mother so much. We are rejoicing that she's out of pain and again in the warm glow of the family she was ready to go home too.
Charlene was known as a quiet prankster. She loved to knit and crochet everything from large queen size quilts down to intricate Christmas tree ornaments. Proceeds from her handywork saved quite a few family Christmas' due to her miraculous talent. She worked hard at odd jobs, always making it happen until she graduated from Wenatchee Valley College with honors in accounting at the age of 50. She was then able to help Fred double down on house payments and pay it off early. They were very proud that they did that, as they should be. She worked very hard for the family her whole life.
We'd always teased her about her full cupboards, but we never went hungry. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday where we always shared bounty, warmth, laughter and above all love.
But good! But good!! (if you know, you know).
Thank you for everything and we love you mom.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Charlene on October 25th at the Ephrata American Legion Post from 2 to 4 p.m. There will also be a funeral mass at 11 a.m. on November 4th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cheney followed by a service at the Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m.
