Melvin Burtchett Obituary
He was a native of St. Joseph, Mich., a member of Disabled American Veterans No. 3 in Elizabethtown, Ky., and Wickland Baptist Church.
Melvin served our country proudly for 16 years in the U. S. Army, and was a retired employee of Arvarto Digital.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Kitty Caroline Burtchett, and his parents Lawrence and Lovina Burtchett.
Melvin is survived by two stepdaughters Ginger Lee Scearce and Jeannie Weaver; four siblings Sherrie Wandersee, Marvin Burtchett, Rex Burtchett and Sheila Burtchett; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, Ky., was entrusted with the arrangements.

Me and my husband (Charlie) were in Germany with Melvin and Carol and I just recently moved to KY was as going to go see them. My heart breaks for your family. I´m so very sorry for your loss.
