Anne (Silverman) Fogel Anne (Silverman) Fogel passed away on September 22, 2021. She was 95 years old, and was a Westport resident for 65 years. She was born in Montreal, Canada and moved to The Bronx when she was 10 years old. She worked for Westport Planning and Zoning department for 10 years, worked as a Quickbooks consultant for a Naturopath and several condominium associations in Westport, volunteered as a moderator at the polls for many years in District 7, and was one of the founders of the "Y's Women" in Westport. She volunteered for the cancer society to help people quit smoking, was a supporter of abortion rights, and was an avid bridge and tennis player (on the court until she was 88!). She lived completely independently until the last 8 weeks of her life. She is predeceased by her husband Stanley, and is survived by her 4 children: Sharon, Barbara, Sheldon "Shelly" and his wife Mary, and Fred. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Anne was a loyal, dear friend. We met playing tennis in the 60s and though I moved away in the 80s, we remained friends. We kept up by email, and I was fortunate to hear from her up until the last week. I miss you, Anne, R.I.P.
