Audrey Burtsche
Audrey May (Scribner) Burtsche, 88, of Westport, CT received her angel wings on July 30, 2021.
Audrey was born May 31, 1933 in Norwalk Hospital to Chauncey Scribner and Helene Jo Woronowicz.
She lived in Wilton and Ridgefield where she graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1951, then went on to attended Art college in New York City. Married Victor W Burtsche on September 15, 1956; they lived in Westport, CT.
Audrey's passion was to paint flowers, animals, lighthouses, and barns; many of these paintings were exhibits in the Weston Grange Art Fair, where she won many 1st and 2nd place ribbons. She also loved to collect sad irons: many of them were placed around the fireplace in the house. Audrey attended the Weston Grange, Weston Senior Center, Christ & Holy Trinity, St Paul's Episcopal church for many years. She also loved camping in Maine with her husband and friends.
Audrey is survived by her sons Peter V. Burtsche, John V. Burtsche (wife Lisa Anne Burtsche), brother James Paul Scribner, sister-in-law Carol Scribner, nephew Steven (Woody) Scribner, niece Nancy Hyon, cousin Judy Scribner Desouza, and longtime friend and caretaker, Dave Burgess from Westport, Ct.
Audrey is predeceased by her parents Chauncey Scribner and Helen Jo Woronowicz, her beloved husband Victor W. Burtsche, her brother Alan Scribner and sister-in-law Faith Scribner.
Funeral services will be private.
Harding Funeral Home Westport, CT are in charge of arrangements.

It was truly a privilege to have Audrey in our lives. Words just don't give her enough credit for the good, loving and faithful lessons she taught us all. John, Lisa and Peter we are so sorry for your loss.
