Edward McClure Obituary

Edward D. "Ed" McClure, 79, of Fort Wayne, was called home peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Wayne on June 2, 1946, to the late Fred and Dolores (Kessinger) McClure. On January 23, 1965, he married Mary Lou Wood in Fort Wayne, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Ed worked for Graves Trucking for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Ed was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He loved his family more than anything and will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou McClure; a daughter, Tonda (David) Quillen; a son, Eddie (Monica) McClure; a brother, Don (Mary Ann) McClure; a sister, Roxann (Danny) Brock; five grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly) Quillen, Emily (Sasha) Wolfe, Leah (Joe M) Quillen, Kim (Josh) Croy, and Katie (Beau) Skeens; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is preceded in death by a newborn daughter, Ronda; his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Graveside service and burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Cedar Creek Cemetery, 6840 County Road 11A, Auburn, IN 46706. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
