Fredric Fisher Obituary

Fredric Steven "Steve" Fisher, 80, of Rome City, Indiana, died Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
He was born November 12, 1944, in Kendallville to Fred and Harriet J. (Domer) Fisher.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
He had worked in construction and enjoyed his time working on the railroad.
Steve was a member of the Rome City American Legion and a life member of the NRA.
He loved guns and his dogs and enjoyed hunting.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa (Chip) Gatt of Auburn; a son, Colton (Jamie) Fisher of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Easton Fisher, Joe Smith, and Jake Smith; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith and Eleanor Smith; and a sister, Connie Garton of Rome City.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Gail Williams; his father, Fred Fisher; his mother, Harriet J. Moyer; stepfather, William Moyer; and a brother, Chris Fisher.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Visitation will also be on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
Burial will be Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
Pallbearers will be Colton Fisher, Chip Gatt, Joe Smith, Nick Garton, and Austin Elkins.
Honor guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard and active-duty members of the U.S. Army.
