Jane Spurgeon Obituary

Jane M. Spurgeon, 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away on September 20, 2025, at Parkview Regional Hospital. She was born in Kendallville on August 31, 1960, to the late Rexford and Janet (Hahn) Miller, Sr. Jane graduated from Carroll High School in 1978. She loved to cross-stitch, crochet, create crafts, go camping, and was especially fond of her cats. Jane is survived by her five daughters, Jennifer (Troy) Robinson, Jessica (Adam) Sauers, Jodie (William Beck) Spurgeon, Julie (Audie) Fontillas, and Jamie (Jonnie) Faust; a son, Justin Spurgeon; three brothers, Lynn (Kay) Miller, Rex (Peggy) Miller, and Kevin (Susan) Miller; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason D. Spurgeon, on June 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Rehobeth Cemetery. Memorials directed to the family c/o Sheets and Childs Funeral Home. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
