Jim Stevens Obituary

Jim Stevens, 73, of Kendallville, Indiana died Monday, June 9, 2025, at Kendallville Manor Nursing Home and Rehab.
He was born January 26, 1952, in Hueysville, Kentucky to Russell Henry and Tilly (Shepherd) Stevens.
Jim had worked at the Kendallville Water Department for 34 years before retirement.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, trapping, bow hunting, and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are a son, Nolan Stevens of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Gose of Mongo, Toby Lockhart of Kendallville, and Deborah (Robert) Bloomfield of Wolcottville; three brothers, Gary Stevens of Angola, Larry (Joy) Stevens of Sturgis, Michigan, Rick (Cindy) Stevens of Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carolyn Leyton.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Charles Mosley officiating.
Burial will follow in Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
Visitation will also be on Monday beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Noble County Humane Society.
