Larry Anderson Obituary

Larry E. Anderson, 75, of Wolcottville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, surrounded by family. Born September 30, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was the son of the late Edwin and Velma (Ehmke) Anderson. Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Helton. He graduated from Southside High School and later attended IUPU in Fort Wayne. He worked in the semitrailer manufacturing industry for nearly 50 years, first at Fruehauf in Fort Wayne and then Waverly, Ohio. He later joined Wabash National in Lafayette where he worked until retirement. He honorably served in the Indiana Air National Guard. Larry will always be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and love of family. He had a lifelong passion for woodworking and over the years built cherished family furniture, intricate intarsia boxes, and much, much more. Every project reflected the care, patience, and love that defined him. In addition to woodworking, he enjoyed fishing, spending time at Witmer Lake with family and friends, and especially RV travel that reconnected him and Mary Ann with old friends and introduced new friends along the way. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Anderson; son, Jeff (Jennifer) Anderson; daughter, Michelle (Courtney) Falk; and grandchildren, Hannah Anderson, Shelby (Cole) Donnellon, Sophia Falk, and Alex Falk. A celebration of life gathering is being planned for a later date. Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
