Rebecca S. Crump

Rebecca S. Crump, age 83, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 4:20 am on Thursday October 30, 2025, at Parkview Whitley Hospital. Born on September 5, 1942, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Charles and Mattie Lou (Roberts) Banks.
Becky attended schools in Frenchburg, Waynesville, and Winchester, Kentucky before moving to Columbia City in 1971. On December 26, 1960, she married George Crump in Sharpsburg, KY.
Becky worked as a press operator for Precision Plastics for 28 years until her retirement in 2001.
She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church and attended Oak Grove Church of God.
Becky enjoyed cooking and vacationing with her grandchildren. She also had a big heart overabundant with love for others and adopted many children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband George Crump of Columbia City; children Rick (Riza) Crump and Melinda Crump, both of Columbia City; grandchildren Abigail (Chris) Lehman, Emily (Jeffrey) Longsworth, James (Autumn) Crump, and Allison Crump; 8 great grandchildren; son-in-law William "Bill" Horne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Chester, James, Holton, Grover, and Carrie Banks, Martha Walters, Mary Creech, Florence Richey, Josephine Johnson, Ruby Newton, Reva Grable, Juanita Claxton, Mary Mullins, Nell Faurote, and daughter Tammy Horne.
Funeral services for Becky will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday November 4, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling from 4:00-7:00 pm prior to service.
Burial in Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City.
