Richard Hyser Obituary
He attended Roanoke School. On April 22, 1961, he married Carol Pequignot at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke, Indiana. Richard was a lifelong farmer, but he also worked at Ft. Wayne Country Club for 42 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola.
Richard loved to golf, fish, hunt, woodworking and camping. Bird watching was also a favorite pastime. Traveling was a large part of Richards life with Carol, their children and their brothers and sisters.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carol L. Hyser; children, Christine Pratt, Michelle (Michael) Gruettert, Lori Hyser, Debbie Gaff, and Richard (Teresa) Hyser, Jr.; grandchildren, Amber Pressler, Tadd (Jessica) Pratt, Clinton Gruettert, Katie (Frank) Reed, Jeffrey (Taylor) Gruettert, Alivia (Lane) Michel, Audrey (Andy) Jacquay, Karrisy Hyser, and Tayla (Michael) Sanchez; and 19 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Richard is preceded in death by 12 siblings.
Visitation will be 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12305 Arcola Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Burial will take place at Broxon Cemetery.
