Ronald Harroff Obituary

Ronald D. Harroff, 66, of Rome City, Indiana, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. He was born November 7, 1958, in Columbia City, Whitley County, Indiana, to Frances Allen and Joan Edna (Erdly) Harroff. On January 17, 1992, in Brimfield, he married Julie Hicks. Ron had worked at Stover's SuperValu in Ligonier and retired in December, 2021 from Kroger in Ligonier. He enjoyed garage sailing, organizing things, gardening and yard work, fishing, and watching his favorite television shows. He especially enjoyed helping people and spending time with those he loved and cared about. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Julie Harroff of Rome City; two daughters, Autumn Harroff of Rome City and Crystal S. Hensley of Elkhart; a son, Cody M. Harroff of South Bend; two grandchildren, Samantha Hensley and James Hensley; and his mother-in-law, Thelma Hicks of Brimfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vicki Isham; two brothers, Randy Harroff and Rick Harroff; his father-in-law, Diamond Hicks; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Click. Funeral services will be Monday, June 9, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastors Larry Anglemyer, Sr. and James Bennett officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday, beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the family for funeral expenses.
