Agnes E.L. Keiper

Agnes E.L. Keiper, 104, of Saylorsburg, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Slate Belt Health & Rehab Center, Bangor. She was the loving wife of the late Earl Keiper. Born on May 19, 1921, in Middlecreek, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. Andrew and the late Lucy (Smith) Andrew. Agnes was a practical nurse for twenty five years before retiring in 1990. Prior to her nursing career, she worked as a seamstress at numerous places for several years. She was a very talented person in many facets of life. Agnes was an avid quilter, cook, and baker. She was a wonderful pie and cookie maker, and also enjoyed canning. Agnes had a strong faith and loved the Lord, often attending the Church of the Nazarene in Bangor. Most of all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Agnes will be deeply missed by all her friends and family. She is survived by a son, Alvin Keiper and his wife Jody; three daughters, Maxine Schaffer, Sharon Honey, Amy Moore and her husband Chris; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and her extended family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kelli Minnerly, a brother, and several sisters. A closed-casket visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Ken Bean and Pastor Cherie Swink officiating. Burial will follow the service in Middlecreek, Cemetery, Polk Township, PA.
