Alfred Henry Fritzinger Jr.

Alfred H. Fritzinger Jr., affectionally known as A.J Fritz to his friends, passed away peacefully at home on December 31,2024 at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Alfred Sr. & Mary Fritzinger of Whitehall. A devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. Al will be remembered most for his larger-than-life personality and passion for music. In his younger days he worked for his father's vending company where he found his passion for music, filling juke boxes with tunes. He then worked for his father's extermination company. In his 20's he lived & worked in Brooklyn, NY at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street. He then returned to the Lehigh Valley to PLEOA as GM while having a DJ business & pursuing his love for music. He was on air at WGPA in the 80's and WZZO in the mid 90's also volunteering at WLVR at Lehigh university where he established his communication & broadcasting career as Manager & Chief Operator since 2000. His support, loyalty, and love for the Lehigh Valley music community was enduring. His life & memories will be forever treasured by his wife; Tammy (Trainer-Mimlitsch), his loving companion, Penny, Children; Adam & wife, Amber Fritzinger of Whitehall, Jacqui & husband Harry German of South Carolina, Step-sons, Christopher & wife Ashley Mimlitsch of Northampton, and Jared Mimlitsch of Bethlehem, two brothers; Todd Fritzinger of Danielsville, Doug & wife Wanda Fritzinger of Treichlers, and sister, Stacy Fritzinger of Macungie, and grandchildren; Caleb & Giana German and Isabella & Logan Fritzinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kevin and sister, Tracy. Services being handled by Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, on Friday January 10, 2024. The family will receive guests from 9am-12pm, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. Al is also a liver transplant recipient since 2013.
