Andrew Cuvo Obituary

Andrew A. "Andy" Cuvo, 91, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. Born on June 25, 1934 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Bilotta) Cuvo. Andy graduated from Easton High School in 1952. He served four years in the US Navy aboard the Destroyer John R. Pierce during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, Andy joined IBEW Local 367 Easton in 1958. He served on the Examining Board and Executive Board and was the Business Manager and Financial Secretary of IBEW Local 367 from 1972 until the merger in 1993, Andy served as a Business Representative of the IBEW Local 102. Andy was a delegate to both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State AFL-CIO Building Trades Councils. He sat as both the Secretary Treasurer and as the President of the Pennsylvania IBEW Business Managers Association. He also held the position of President of the Pennsylvania State Electrical Workers Association, President of the LNMP Counties Building Trades Council in Pennsylvania and Vice President of the Warren-Hunterdon Counties Building Trades Council in New Jersey. Andy was a chosen delegate to the IBEW International Conventions since 1974 and served as the Sergeant of Arms and EWBA Committees. Andy was the first member of the IBEW to graduate from the George Meany Labor Studies College degree program at Antioch University. He received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Labor Studies in 1979. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret (Miller) Cuvo; children, Lisa Cuvo of Palmer Twp., PA; John Febbo III and his wife, Beth of Toms River, NJ; Toni Lee Febbo of Bethlehem Twp., PA; sisters, Carole Winter, Anne-Marie Cuvo Barr; grandchildren, Stacy Martin, John Febbo IV, David Gale; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Febbo, John Febbo V, William Martin, Wesley Martin; and many nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Entombment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andrew's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
