Angelina Giovanna Dalessio

Angelina Giovanna Dalessio, 93, of Washington Twp., passed away, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, March 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Angelina(Iatalese) Dalessio and raised in Pen Argyl by Domenico A. and Filomena (Sachetti) Ruggiero, Sr. Angie was employed as a trimmer in various garment mills in the Slate Belt Area, including Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap. She was a 1951 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, UNITE, Slate Belt Senior Citizens Center and the former St. Joseph's Sodality, Wind Gap. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed visiting casinos and watching baseball and football. She is survived by a brother, Domenic Dalessio and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marion DeRea, Vincene Ruggiero, Mary LaPenna, Lucy Modolo, Carmela "Millie" DeCesare, and Mamie Burns, and four brothers, Mario Dalessio, Daniel A. Ruggiero, Leonard A. Ruggiero, and Domenico A. Ruggiero, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
