Ann Marie Grater

Ann Marie Grater age 83 of Trooper, Pa passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Morningside House of Blue Bell. Born in Norristown, Pa to the late James and Anna (nee Dempsey) McCarthy. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William W. Grater.
Ann Marie is survived by 2 son's, William B. (Leslie) of Trooper, Richard J. (Jana) of Acton, MA; her brother, James McCarthy (Deb); 5 grandchildren, Kayla Salus (Rob), Monica Buckley (James), Bria, Jack, and Alexis and great grandson RJ Salus.
Ann Marie was very kind and had a gentle soul. She lived in Conshohocken until 1970 when they moved to Trooper. She graduated from Saint Matthews high school in Conshohocken in 1960. She was self-employed operating a house cleaning business and was able to retain repeat customers for over 30 years.
Ann Marie was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She enjoyed walking with her friends, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was always very active. Ann Marie and her late husband loved traveling to many different destinations both near and far. They also enjoyed spending time at their beach house in cape May, NJ.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10:45 to 11:45 am Friday, June 13, 2025 followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 noon at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Eagleville, Pa 19403. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown.
