ARLENE SELAND, 84, PASSED AWAY July 10, 2025 SHE WAS A FORMER RESIDENT OF THE NATIVITY SECTION OF SCRANTON FOR OVER 50 YEARS, SHE WAS A HIGHLY TALENTED SEAMSTRESS, OFTEN TIMES MAKING AND DESIGNING CLOTHING FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE WAS ALSO TALENTED WITH HER BEAUTIFUL CROCHETING AND ADORABLE CERAMICS. ARLENE WANTED TO MAKE EVERYONE LAUGH. SHE WAS FUNNY, BRAZEN, SHARP AND WITTY. ARLENE WAS PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY HER SON, BRIAN BOGDANSKI, HER BROTHER PAUL SELAND, AND HER PARENTS JOHN AND LAURA STALHEBER SELAND. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER SONS, CHIP BOGDANSKI, PALM HARBOR, FL. AND JEFF BOGDANSKI, SCRANTON, PA,; AND SISTERS, ROSEMARY POWELL, STROUDSBURG, PA.; DIANE RICHARDS, TUNKHANNOCK, PA.; AND LINDA SELAND, DUNMORE, PA.; AND 2 BROTHERS, FR. JOHN SELAND, NAGOYA, JAPAN; AND CHARLES SELAND, BUERSTADT, GERMANY, ALSO GRANDCHILDREN, AARON, VICTORIA, RYAN AND LAURA, AND SEVERAL NIECES, AND NEPHEWS, Funeral arrangements by Harding Litwin Funeral Home, Tunkhannock, Pa. The funeral will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
