August J. Walser IV

August J. Walser, IV., 87, of Orefield, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. He and his wife, Carol A. (Thornton) Walser, celebrated 67 years of marriage on September 25th. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late August J., III., and Helen (Noreika) Walser. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Orefield and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. He was an U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and was a former Cub Scout Master. August was a branch manager for PA Industrial in Boyertown for several years before retiring in 2008. Previously he worked for Ransome Lift as a branch manager in the Wilkes-Barre and Allentown locations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors: Wife; Children, August J. Walser, V., and his wife, Melissa, Michael T. Walser and his wife, Mari Ann, Carol "Dolly" Vecchione, and Brian P. Walser and his companion, Lori King; Siblings, Helen Butler, Louise Stanco and Bernetta Williams; Grandchildren, Nicole, Brieanne, August, VI., Patrick, Christopher, Michael, II., Thomas, Laura, Sarah, Patrick and Katherine; and Great-Grandchildren, Logan, Carson, Rory, Luke, Liam, Jacob, Elizabeth, Thomas and Hazel. August was predeceased by his sister, Mary Barone.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Dr., Orefield PA 18069. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown, and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will take place approximately at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp., PA (Lackawanna Co.).
