Brenda Schaeffer Obituary

Brenda M. (Gift) Schaeffer 66, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Laureldale nursing and rehabilitation center. Born in Reading, pa on June 7, 1959, she was the daughter of Clyde and Marian (Gehret) Gift. Brenda was a 1977 graduate of Kutztown high school. Over the years she worked for Penn Dutch Cookie Corporation, Boyer's Market and Redner's Market. Brenda loved spending time with her common law husband Charles F. Lutz who passed away in 2017. Together they owned and ran a sandwich stand in the Renninger's Farmers Market. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading and caring for her cats. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Schaeffer) Stamm and her son, Michael C. Schaeffer Jr. her beloved grandchildren Brooke I. Stamm, Kade D Stamm, Chase F. Stamm and Karlee L. Schaeffer and her most cherished great-grandchildren, along with her sister Dawn (Gift) Schlenker. In addition to her parents Brenda was proceeded in death her sisters Dianne L. (Gift ) Gable and Faye L. Henry. There will be no services, but her family would like if all who loved her, show their respects in a meaningful way on a personal level.
