Carole Mischinski Obituary
Carole Linda Mischinski (née Sagnip), 67, of Telford, passed away on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, within arm's reach of her three daughters and in the tender care of Doylestown Health Hospice. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Mark Allan Mischinski, and looked forward to their reunion in the sanctuary of Heaven. Born on October 16, 1957, in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Lee Hollendonner, late Cesar Oro-ni Joson Sagnip (natural father), and the late Werner Hollendonner (stepfather). She attended St. Anthony's High School in Hamilton, NJ, and graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
A deeply devoted Roman Catholic, Carole attended weekly mass, observed the Holy Days of Obligation, and found solace and strength through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti's Catholic Church and numerous other Catholic churches during the family's time in the South. Rosaries were always within reach, towers of well-loved prayer books and devotionals filled her library, and a novena or interceding prayer was frequently on her lips. Carole lived her life in the image of the Lord and in Jesus's footsteps, embodying a humble servant with unparalleled compassion for not only the people she knew and loved but also the stranger beside her. She prioritized others' needs, wants, and comforts above her own. Unfailingly generous with her time and resources, it was her mission to lighten others' burdens through prayer and whatever was in her capacity to do or give, with her sights set on the eternity of Heaven. The ripple effect of her transcendent love, service, and faith cannot be quantified and will generationally compound. She'd thank you for being a part of her life, want to ensure you were comfortable at her funeral, and ask that you continue to pray for her and the souls in purgatory while she prays for those of us who remain.
Carole had a lifelong love for all God's creatures and surrounded herself and her family with a variety of animals. She was a pioneer for the homeschool community, having chosen with Mark to educate their children at home before it was more commonly accepted. She supported her husband throughout their life and marriage, through career changes, business ownership, and retirement, serving as the foundation of the family home, their milestones and accomplishments entwined. After raising and homeschooling her children, Carole dedicated over 20 years to the US Postal Service and befriended the community with her effervescent spirit and desire to help and serve others.
Her faith, family, and friends were her pillars, and countless people described the lasting imprint she had on their lives or the values she instilled that molded their character. Carole was a maternal figure to so many, an anchor for her loved ones, devoted to caring for her parents as they aged, and she valued quality time with her siblings and their spouses. She expressed her love through gift-giving and acts of service, with tailored and generous gifts, baking and cooking for others, and delighting people with her perfect baklava recipe and homemade pizzelles or chrusciki.
During her twilight time, she cherished evening chats with her neighbor on their property border overlooking the pond, a frigid Wendy's frosty, Costco deals, tending to her orchids, and having a home filled with her grandchildren's laughter, music, and imaginative games. She was a faithful researcher of and advocate for non-traditional medicine and natural healing and credited her sustained time and quality of life to functional medicine and her cancer care team. She was a truly remarkable woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Carole's legacy lives on in her daughters, Christina Darden (Zachary), Kelly Collier (Sean), and Susan Muckian (Michael), and her treasured grandchildren Amara, Isaac, Elias, Mark, Thomas, Jacob, Rosemary, Elaine, Martin, Adrienne, and Bridget. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald (Caroline), Diana, Laurel (Andzrej), Steven (Lynn), Jeff (Lina), and Amy (Jeff), and numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. She would insist that Mirka, her beloved foreign exchange student, be included as part of our family and a fourth daughter. It is with joy that she joins her husband, mother, father, stepfather, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and others in Heaven, where she assured us, she would pray for everyone.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 16, 2025, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, where the family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 am. The burial will occur directly following the mass at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, Carole would want you to create memories with your loved ones-a special meal, a visit, a fun outing or trip, in her honor. Consider an act of kindness for those around you, a care package for someone in need, an errand for an elderly neighbor or family with young children, volunteer, find some small way to continue her legacy of selfless giving. If you insist, Carole would support donations to Catholic organizations, animal rescues, hospice, and the Gift of Life Family House.
