Carolyn M. Hangey

Carolyn Hangey (nee Lochetto), 84, of Lansdale passed away January 22, 2025 after a short illness. She was the daughter of Carrie and Joseph Lochetto.
Carolyn loved to travel and visited Europe, Africa and most recently the Panama Canal. She was a voracious reader and collected books. She loved good wine, good food, and the company of good friends. She spent her Sundays rooting for the Eagles. She was a humanitarian who cared deeply about not only her own family, but the country and the world as well. She donated to local causes like Manna on Main Street and worldwide causes like Doctors Without Borders and Save the Children.
She loved to talk and had an insatiable desire to learn everything. She taught herself to trade on the stock market and was at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution. She was proud to be one of the first to own a Tesla. Her mission in life was to leave a positive mark on the world.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Koretsky and husband Andre; her grandchildren Elyse and husband Bradley Wasson, Julia Schmutz, Madeline Schmutz and Michael Schmutz; her great-grandchildren Jack, Elysia and Soma. She is also survived by her sister and brother: Theresa Hafler and Greg Chiriano.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 1:00 – 2:30 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446. A memorial service will immediately follow.
