Charles L. Knecht Jr.

Charles Leroy Knecht, Jr., 51, of Hamilton Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at home. He was the husband of Jennifer M. (Springer) Knecht with whom he shared 20 years of marriage. Born on September 28, 1973 in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Kathleen (Gower) Knecht of Tobyhanna and the late Charles L. Knecht, Sr. and lived in Monroe County for most of his life. In early years he helped frame new houses and currently worked as a Pipe Fitter for Local Union 274 in New Jersey. Charles was a former member of the American Legion in East Stroudsburg and the Pocono Pool League at the original Pocono Pub. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Phillies fan; and he enjoyed gardening, hunting, farming, fishing (especially for salmon in Pulaski, NY), his beagles, going to garage sales, making apple pie moonshine, and hosting pig roasts, bar-b-cues and bonfires at his home. In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are a son, Charles L. Knecht III of Ohio; two siblings Jeffrey Knecht of Tobyhanna and Renay Peechatka and her husband Kyle of Henryville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Diann M. Springer; and his father-in-law and his girlfriend, Gustav "Gus" A. Springer, Jr. and Helen Grube. Services will be held on Saturday, June 14th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.
