Craig George Loupassakis (82) of Lower Macungie Twp., in
Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully at home on 27 November 2025 surrounded by family, 3 weeks shy of his 83rd birthday. He grew up in South Plainfield, NJ and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where he played football for the Diplomats, and was a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.
Craig married his beloved Donna, nee Brower, in 1964. They would have celebrated their 61st anniversary on 26 December 2025, a testament to his belief that we should all "find someone to love you back" and "make time to be together". Together they created a beautiful life and loving home where they raised three children, Mindy, Kristen and Marc in Branchburg, NJ.
Craig spent 60 years as a travel agent, beginning in 1964, as part of the family owned Park Travel Agency in Scotch Plains, NJ, and in 1974, became the owner of Park Travel Inc., which included offices in both Scotch Plains and South Plainfield, NJ. His love of travel began with a trip to the Bahamas with his parents and siblings. That spark turned into an incredibly successful career where he shared his love of adventure and new experiences with his clients, family and friends, curating vacations that created memories to last a lifetime. Over his long career he ventured into partnerships with other agencies and American Express in New Jersey as well as purchasing an agency in Pennsylvania.
Craig and Donna traveled the world with their family ultimately visiting seven of the eight continents. His favorite destinations were Europe and the Caribbean. At home, and through travel he and Donna were committed to opening the world to their children, encouraging them to explore different cultures and meet people with lives unlike their own. He believed the world is a global community and said providing these opportunities was "always part of the plan" to expose them to as much as possible so they could form their own opinions based on lived experience, for which they are eternally grateful.
In addition to traveling, Craig and Donna loved hosting family and friends in their home. Many wonderful memories have been made over the years during the holidays, summer pool parties and small dinner parties with dear friends. He loved living life to the fullest and these wonderful times will be dearly cherished.
A voracious reader and life long learner, he encouraged his family to never "waste educational opportunities" and not just those offered by traditional educational institutions.
Craig loved sports and played in men's softball and basketball leagues as a younger man, as well as with Donna, playing tennis and being part of a bowling league. He was a big fan of the NY Giants and NY Mets. His passion for sports was passed down the generations. For years he took his children to Giants home games, each on their own; Mindy, Kristen and Marc cherish the memories of spending that one-on-one time with their dad. He encouraged his children to also play sports and find other activities that require collaboration and working with others toward common goals. He found great joy in watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, as well as in school plays and music concerts.
Every life he touched was made better and richer for the gift of having him as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Craig is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Mindy Zelina (David), Kristen Loupassakis (John Teevan), grandchildren, Matthew Angelo (Matthew Krauss), Bryan Angelo (Cristina), Ashley, Joshua and Audrey Loupassakis and his great-granddaughter Giuliana Angelo, as well as his brother Gary Loupassakis and sister Karen Loupassakis. He was pre-deceased by his son Marc Loupassakis in July 2025.
A private service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
