Darlene L. Yoder

Darlene (Leatherman) Yoder, 74, of Sellersville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at The Community at Rockhill.
Darlene was the loving wife of Sanford L. Yoder for 49 years. She was born in Doylestown, PA to the late Wilson D. Leatherman and the late Dorothy (Rice) Leatherman.
Darlene graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1969. She attended Goshen College for a semester.
Darlene worked as sales worker for the former Diana Shop in Doylestown, PA. She then worked in the jewelry department for the former K-Mart in Sanatoga, PA. She worked in the clerical department for the former Harleysville Insurance in Harleysville, PA. She then worked as a sales worker for Macy's in Montgomeryville, PA. Lastly, she worked as a school bus aide for Transportation Services Inc in Souderton, PA.
Darlene was a member of the Deep Run Mennonite Church East and a former member of the Branch Fellowship Church in Harleysville, PA where she served in the children's ministry. She volunteered at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton, PA.
Alongside her husband, Darlene enjoyed taking mission trips to China, Brazil, Costa Rica, Haiti, Philippines, and Russia. She enjoyed traveling nationally and internationally to places such as Ireland, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam. She also enjoyed collecting teddy bears, shopping, going to yard sales, thrift stores, and time shares with the family.
Her husband, Sanford's nickname for her was Twink because she had a sparkle in her eye. She was a kind and talkative woman who had a good spirit and was always on the go.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sisters, Pearl L. Shelly of Sellersville, PA, Debra S. Seuren & husband, Scott of Telford, PA; her brother, Steven R. Leatherman & wife, Wendy of Perkasie, PA, and her sister-in-law, Beverly A. Leatherman of Quakertown, PA.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford R. Leatherman and her brother-in-law, Richard I. Shelly.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Kellers Church Road, Perkasie, PA 18944, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am.
Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
