David A. Comfort, Jr., 69, of Coopersburg, died peacefully June 21, 2025 in St. Luke's Hospital Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Cynthia Mae Wilson. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Anna B. (Taylor) and David A. Comfort, Sr. David is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Anne Comfort of Washington, D.C. and Christina Mae Comfort and son-in-law Dan Gallaher Bissell of Hale'iwa, HI, and cousins Donna Libby and Doug Heywood. He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew S. Comfort. David was a loving father, a nature lover and a talented guitarist. Before retiring, he worked as a computer network engineer for GlaxoSmithKline. Dave loved to play and listen to music; he was a member of a jam band, Evil James, and he loved seeing concerts by the Grateful Dead, Phish, the String Cheese Incident and many other bands. He felt at peace in nature and enjoyed visiting forests, wetlands and shorelines for bird watching. A private celebration of David's life will take place.
