David Fisher Obituary

David John Fisher, 76, of Hatfield, husband of Debbie (Riemer) Fisher, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Keystone Care and Hospice. Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Mary (Lynn) Fisher. David was a 1966 graduate of Upper Merion High School and a 1971 graduate of Lasalle College. In 2019 he retired from Weichert Realtor. Prior to that he worked for 30 years in the refractory industry for various employers. He was an active cyclist, a fundraiser for local and national charities and a foodie who loved exploring cuisine from all around the world. He volunteered at Valley Forge National Park, greeting and educating visitors at Washington Headquarters and the visitor center. David was a Muster Roll committee member who researched and documented Revolutionary war soldiers who served under George Washington at Valley Forge. He was a member of the Avalon F & AM Lodge #657 in Bellevue for 50 years and an avid reader with a curious mind who never stopped learning. Surviving with his wife are daughters Kristin Heller, wife of Josh, and Karen Hoffman, wife of Darrell; grandchildren Dean and Sydney Heller and Colin and Holly Hoffman; and sister Lynn Holland, Lois Berry, and Lisa Wilkinson. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother James "Jim" Fisher. Services and interment are private.
