Doris Ostrowski Obituary

Doris J. (Dunn) Ostrowski, 89, of Reading passed away on August 1, 2025, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Ostrowski, Sr. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Charlotte (Starr) Dunn. Doris was a graduate of Reading High School in 1954. She worked for the Reading School District until her retirement. In addition to her husband she is survived by three grandchildren; Peter, Robert, and Alex, as well as her great-granddaughter; Naomi. Doris was predeceased by her step-son, Joseph S. Ostrowski, Jr., one brother, Jack A. Dunn, and Jack's spouse, Jane Sheetz. Special thanks to the amazing and compassionate caregivers and nurses from Bayada, your care was such a blessing. Doris will be laid to rest with her mother at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers and in honor of her love for animals, memorial donations may be made to pa pit stop rescue a non profit organization based in Berks county where animals can come for comfort, healing or a place to stay along their journey to find a forever home. https://papitstop.org/donate.
