Dorothy M. Quinn

Dorothy M. Quinn, 82, of Middle Smithfield Township, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Brookmont Healthcare Center in Effort. She was the widow of John B. Quinn who died May 26, 2006. Born on October 8, 1942, in Southampton, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Marie Uhl and William Bowden Holland. She lived in Monroe County for the past 41 years moving from Denville, NJ. She worked for Fernwood Resort and Timeshare and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Marshalls Creek. Dorothy will be remembered for her loving and generous heart, the happiness and wellbeing of her family and friends her greatest reward. With her easygoing personality and sense of fun she was always a joy to be with, quick to laugh and up for adventure. A cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Dorothy's life was a gift of love to us all. Surviving are five children, John Quinn and wife Lisa of Hightstown, NJ, Laura Wilkerson of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Kenneth Quinn and wife Denise of Estro, FL, Michael Nicholson and wife Kimberly of Newton, NJ, and Thomas Nicholson and wife Paula of East Stroudsburg; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Trina Staropoli of Nutley, NJ; a brother, John Holland and wife Doreen of Nutley, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. There will be visitation hours for family and friends on Wednesday, March 12th, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A prayer service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, March 13th, at the funeral home with Rev. Gregory A. Reichlen officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Shoemakers. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to American Cancer Society.
