Dr. Jerold H. Price

Dr. Jerold H. Price, 88, of Fleetwood, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born March 31, 1936 in Reading, he was the son of the late Irene (Yoder) and Howard Price. He and the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Kathleen M. (Seip) Price, were married on June 27, 1987 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown, PA.

Jerold served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Marine Corps.

Jerold was a graduate of Reading High School, Ursinus College and the University of Pennsylvania and received his PhD in Chemistry. He worked for Beryllium Corporation before going on to work as a professor at the Community College of Philadelphia for 42 years.

Jerold attended Fleetwood Bible Church and was an amazing woodworker, having built an entire home gym out of wood. He was a musician and truly enjoyed jazz music and attending jazz festivals. Jerold touched many lives throughout his career and will be remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathleen, are his son, Steven J. Price, husband of Amanda S. (Schaich) Price, Fleetwood, his nieces, Karen Fisher and Susan Fisher, and his nephew John Seip.

Along with his parents, Jerold was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Fisher.

Funeral Services for Jerold will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood, PA. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery of Perry Township.

Viewings for Jerold will be held on Wednesday evening, September 11, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, and again on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 1:00 pm until time of services at the funeral home.
