Elizabeth Albinson Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Albinson, 64, of Mount Bethel, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Medical Center after suffering an unexpected cardiac arrest. Born in Darby, PA on January 20, 1961 to the late Joseph and Katherine (Otterbein) Flanigan, Elizabeth ("Beth") grew up in Stanhope, NJ where she attended Lenape Valley Regional High School, graduating in 1979. Beth was active in her community, winning Miss Stanhope in 1982. After graduating from Moravian College in 1983 she began her forty-year career at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. Beth was proud of her many professional accomplishments, including rising to the rank of Strategic Planning Officer, and taking an active role in many groups supporting the armed forces. But she was most proud of the relationships and friendships she developed during her time at Picatinny. Beth was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Sodality. After retiring in 2023, she enjoyed socializing with her large circle of friends. She loved each day and each new adventure that retirement brought. She had joined Multisport Fitness right by her home and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends while attending her morning fitness classes. Beth and her husband Robert had recently purchased a home to spend winters at in Lake Worth, Florida. In their brief time in Florida, Beth did what she did best-immediately made new friends and became an active member of her community. She attended St. Matthew Catholic Church in Lake Worth where she had already joined clubs and learned new hobbies, like knitting. Beth's greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, especially her husband and their two sons and daughters-in-law. Beth cherished the years spent raising her sons with her husband, and was extensively involved with the boys' schools, activities, and sports-she was their number one fan and never missed a game. Beth's home was always filled with her sons' friends and there was nothing she loved more than having family and friends gathered in her home. Beth was very much looking forward to many more years of hosting spur of the moment get togethers, parties, and holidays for her family and friends. Beth is survived by her husband Robert and her two sons, Taylor (Juliana) and Brett (Jessica). Beth brought a warmth and joy into the lives of every person that knew her, and Beth never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. We all hope we can find some comfort in knowing that Beth truly cherished each day of her life and "enjoyed the journey"-even though it feels like her journey was cut far too short. Beth's family will host a celebration of Beth's life on Saturday, October 25th from 1pm-5pm at the Lake Forest Yacht Club in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and welcomes all who knew and loved Beth to stop by to eat, drink, and share stories about Beth. There will also be a Catholic mass in Beth's honor at 10am on Saturday, October 25th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bangor, PA for anyone who wishes to attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Beth's memory to Tunnels to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org/).

Meeting Beth was like meeting an old and dear friend. She and Bob bought our "forever home" and that´s when our special relationship started. I am so sorry to hear of her passing way too soon.

Beth and I were co-workers at Picatinny and very good friends. I can't even describe how much I will miss her. She was a beautiful spirt, so full of life and love and will be by not only me, but by anyone who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace and may God bring comfort and peace to her family and friends. RIP my sweet friend.
