Evelyn Evans

Evelyn (Hiltebeitel) Evans, 97, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on February 4, 2025, at Keystone Villa. She was the wife of the late Horace "Duke" A. Evans, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage until his passing on July 30, 2010. Born in Schwenksville, PA, on November 26, 1927, Evelyn was the daughter of the late William Hiltebeitel. Evelyn graduated from Spring City High School in 1946 and worked as the department head for the New York Store before retiring from Warwick Jewelers. She was a longtime member of Pottstown First Church of the Brethren in Pottstown, PA. Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas F. Evans and Evelyn Kay (Harold) Sachwald; her grandchildren, Scott, Emily, and Benjamin; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Sam, Lucy, and Lily. In addition to her husband and father, Evelyn was predeceased by her son, Robert H. Evans. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
