Evelyn Stine Obituary

Evelyn R. (Oplinger) Stine, 100, of Breinigsville, passed away with her family by her side on Monday October 20, 2025. She was the wife of the late Morris O. Stine, with whom she shared many years of marriage until his passing in 1983. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Esther M. (Samuels) Oplinger. Evelyn spent her life being a devoted farmers wife and raising her two children. She loved to tend her garden, cook for her family and do all types of needle crafting. Above all she loved spending time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her son Joel, husband of Ellen Sue Stine of Overgaard, AZ and daughter Joan, wife of Richard Semmel of Breinigsville. She will also be missed by her 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd. Breinigsville, PA 18031. Inurnment will follow at Ziegels Union Cemetery in Breinigsville. A calling hour will begin at 10: 00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's memory to the Sanctuary at Haafsville c/o the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at schmoyerfuneralhome.com.
