G. Manwiller Obituary

G. Peter Manwiller, 89, of Muhlenberg Township, died July 26, 2025, at Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the loving husband of Carol Ann (Bechtel) Manwiller, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Peter was the loving father of Rory P. Manwiller of Hyde Park.

Born November 8, 1935, in West Reading, he was a son of the late Elmer O. and Hila S. (Sharp) Manwiller.

Peter was a 1953 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was the owner and operator of Nestor Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service for over 30 years, until his retirement.

Peter was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

He was a 74-year member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America, Camp #446 of Centerport. He served as past President of Camp #68 of Hyde Park and was a former state and national camp trustee.

Peter was an extremely passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He had season tickets from 1986-2003. Peter was an avid sportsman and belonged to Mohnton Fish and Game and Fleetwood Fish and Game.

He was preceded in death by his brother Marlin.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m.
