George Nassar

George Nassar, 91, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on May 9th, 2025. Born in Jerusalem, Palestine, on October 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Eid and Jamila (Abujaber) Nassar. George was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Itidal, a father to his three beautiful children, a grandfather to his six amazing grandkids, and a beloved community member who was always seen walking around Allentown visiting his family and friends. George was a mathematician by profession and passion. He generously shared his knowledge with family and friends, becoming a teacher and mentor to many. His warmth and wisdom extended beyond numbers-he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. He especially loved playing cards and games with his family, a favorite pastime shared often with his dear sister, Evelyn. Known for his hospitality, kindness, and unwavering respect for others, George built a legacy of love, intellect, and generosity. He put God and his family above all else and brought happiness to those who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Survivors: Wife, Itidal Nassar; Sons, Noble and his wife, Leila; Nasri and his wife, Brigitte; Daughter, Nabila and her husband, Victor; grandchildren, George and Ronya Nassar, Nicholas and Andrew Youssef, Nadeen and Christopher Nassar; sister-in-law, Hiyam Nassar. Many nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children. Jack T. He was preceded in death by his late sister Evelyn Zilfou, who passed just recently (may they be playing cards together in heaven), his sister Victoria Hamati, and brother John Nassar.
