Gerald Moulthorp Obituary

Gerald Gene Moulthrop, 75, of Lehighton, PA, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on July 10, 2025. Gerald was married to Dale (Smith) Moulthrop for 56 years. Born in Palmerton, PA, Gerald was the son of the late Raymond and Lois (Schulenburg) Moulthrop. Gerald graduated from Lehighton Area High School in 1967. Growing up, Gerald's lifelong wish was to be a cowboy or a rodeo clown, but the opportunity arose for him to start a family business, Moulthrop Railroad Contractors, with his father. He worked there for 35 years. Before retirement, he also worked for Duane Moyer Well Drilling, Inc. and the PA Turnpike Commission. "Jer" enjoyed hunting, baseball, rodeos, auctions, and watching Westerns and the Outdoor Channel with his family and his dog, Maggie. In addition to his wife Dale, he is survived by daughters Kelly (Mark) Hamm, Heather (Brendan) Blymire, and Jamie (Bill) Lewis. His treasured grandchildren include Jake Lewis, Ella Blymire and Eve Blymire. Gerald was predeceased by his sister, Donna Lee Klotz. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer E. C. Church, 441 Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe, PA, with the Reverend Keith Miller officiating. Contributions in his name may be sent to Ebenezer E.C. Church for the Belltower Project. Online condolences at www.stianchefh.com The David J.
