Heather L. Serfass

Heather "Headie" Lynn Counterman-Serfass, 49, of East Stroudsburg entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her residence in Brodheadsville. She was born in East Stroudsburg on June 29, 1975, the daughter of Vicki L. (Counterman) Vetesy. Heather graduated from East Stroudsburg High School in 1994. She was previously employed at Smoking Joes and Candle Shoppe of the Poconos; and most recently worked at The Chevy dealership of Allentown until her health declined. She was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and spending time in the outdoors. Her pastime favorites were doing things with her family and she loved spending time with her pets, cooking, and making new recipes to share with others. Heather is survived by her parents; Vicki L. (Counterman) Vetesy and Kenneth G. Vetesy, Sr. of East Stroudsburg; a son, Robert N. Serfass and his fiancée Caylee Connors; two brothers: Kenneth G. Vetesy, Jr. and Nathan R. Vetesy and his wife Christina; a sister, Makayla A. Vetesy; a nephew, Nathan R. Vetesy, Jr.; two nieces: Amber Furler and Crystal Furler; her father-in-law, Robert E. Serfass, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Robin Furler; her companion, Steven Brogna; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved late husband, Robert E. Serfass III. Heather was a caring and loving individual like no other and would help anyone she could. We will cherish every moment and memory we shared with her. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st, from 10 am until noon with services immediately following at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
