Howard Broxson Obituary

Howard "Fred" Fredrick Broxson, 69, of Swiftwater, passed away on October 13, 2025 at his home. He was the husband of the late Willard "Will" George Eldredge with whom he shared 30 years together and 10 years of marriage at the time of his death on January 28, 2024. Born on March 5, 1956 in Plant City, FL he lived in Swiftwater since 1994, moving from Hoboken, NJ. Prior to retirement, Fred worked as a supervisor for USB in New York City, and before that, as a Project Manager for Daniel & Jones Construction. He was an active member of Cherry Lane United Methodist Church where he served on the worship committee, was part of the men's group, and loved his church family dearly. He is survived by his parents, Hinton Broxson and Patricia (Overholt) Broxson; two children Angela Ayers, and her husband Michael, and Ryan Broxson; four grandchildren, Katharine "Katie" Pike and her husband Zachary, Ashley Ayers, Michael Ayers and Rebekah Ayers; a great-grandson, Ezra Pike; many wonderful friends; and his beloved feline companion, Bobo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Candie Broxson. Fred's life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25th, at the Cherry Lane United Methodist Church in Tannersville. The memorial service will begin at 11am with Rev. Wendy Bellis officiating. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Cherry Lane United Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
