Ibrahim Murif

Ibrahim Murif, 91, of Macungie, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Esther (Alsalameh) Moreef. Born in Ghasam, Syria, he was the son of the late Hilal and Rahmeh (Essa) Moreef. He first pursued his vocation as a teacher of mathematics and Arabic, shaping young minds with knowledge and discipline, before devoting more than thirty years of honorable service as a ranked officer in the Syrian Army. In his past time, he was an avid puzzler and enjoyed playing many card games with his children and grandchildren. Survivors: Wife; Children: Maan, Yacoob, Manaf, Maysoun Kreit, Ghada Suleiman; Sister, Munira Shalash; 13 Grandchildren; and 10 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Nabil Moreef; brothers, Eliah and Yacoob; and sisters, Tlayjeh, Wedad, and Georgette. Services: A visitation with the family will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 7th Street, Whitehall, PA 18052. A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m., at Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church.
